Network of Catholics in Health and Social Care

Network of Catholics in Health and Social Care Network of Catholics in Health and Social Care (formerly known as Catholics in Healthcare) celebrates the important contribution and social action made by Catholics each and every day.

We also support everyone involved in the spiritual care of sick people from hospital chaplains, informal carers and volunteers to those pursuing careers in nursing, medicine, social care and research and policy.

Within the Bishops’ Conference Liverpool's own Bishop Tom Williams chairs the Health and Social Care Advisory Group both locally and nationally.

Locally the archdiocese marks the contribution of Catholics to the care of the sick with two annual events in February (Mass for World Day of Prayer for the Sick) and October (Feast of St Luke).

The Catholic Church has been committed to caring for those who are sick or in need for centuries.
