Covid-19 testing begins at LACE Conference Centre

'I encourage you all to go and be tested'

Early in lockdown Archbishop Malcolm McMahon OP offered the facilities at the LACE Conference Centre for use as a testing centre. The Army and the Department of Health have accepted the offer and are using the facilities for Covid-19 testing as part of the mass testing programme under way in Liverpool.

The Centre is now open from 7am to 7pm each day for people with no Covid-19 symptoms to drop in for a test without an appointment. A mobile number is needed so that people can register when they arrive.

Archbishop Malcolm McMahon says, ‘I am delighted that our offer of facilities for testing has been accepted. I want to encourage everyone to have a test as this is one of the most generous things that you can do for all those you come into contact with, including your family, friends and neighbours. Many of us have been touched by coronavirus and have lost dear friends to it, so let’s see what we can do together to put a halt to it. I encourage you all to go and be tested.’

The LACE Conference Centre is in Croxteth Drive, Sefton Park, Liverpool, L17 1AA and is open from 7am to 7pm daily.
