Parish Priest, Father Graeme Dunne, says: 'It is a long and glorious history of which everyone associated with the parish is rightly proud.  We need to know that history, and the people who were a part of it, to inspire us today.  May the past fill our hearts with joy and may it help us to become an inspiration to future generations.'

The book tells the history of the parish through the eyes of those who served as priests in the parish and through the parishioners who lived, worked and worshipped there.

Former Parish Priest and Auxiliary Bishop of Liverpool, Tom Williams says: 'People's personal journeys are fascinating to me, and the people contained in this volume are of particular interest, because they are also an essential part of the history of St Anthony's.  Who were they?  Where did they come from?  Why did they come to St Anthony's?  What kind of lives did they live?'

The book comprises 520 pages with 57 illustrations and costs £20 (plus £5 postage and packing).  It is available from St Anthony's Presbytery, Scotland Road, Liverpool, L5 5BD.  Tel: 0151 207 0177 or from Gracewing Publishing on 01568 616835.
