Turtle Song Liverpool

Between February and April, the cathedral will be hosting the ‘Turtle Song’ project, aimed at local service users living with dementia (predominantly in the community) and their carers.
Charity Turtle Key Arts is working in partnership with the University of Liverpool and local dementia groups to deliver the creative composition and songwriting project. They will run nine weekly workshops, supported by professional musicians and students from the university, and the group will write their own song cycle.
Sessions will take place on Friday mornings in the cathedral, with a final celebration event at the Tung Auditorium of the new Yoko Ono Lennon Centre on Monday 4 April. This will be filmed and recorded for participants to keep.
It is free to participate and there will be some community transport available too. You can find more information on the Turtle Song project, which is in its 14th year of running nationally, here.
