A golden day for Sister Barbara

Congratulations to Sister Barbara Paterson who celebrated her 50th anniversary of Religious Profession. She is a member of the Sisters of Saint Mary of Namur, who have two convents in the archdiocese, one of which is within the Parish of St Margaret Mary.
The Sisters gathered on the Feast of Saint John the Evangelist at St Margaret Mary’s.  During the Mass they all renewed their vows. Afterwards they went for a celebratory meal and headed back to the Convent House for tea and cake. She was joined by Sisters from across the province and a great day was enjoyed by all. Sister Barbara originally comes from Scotland and served as provincial of the congregation for some years. She now lives at the Swanside Convent.
