Parishioners from Our Lady of Walsingham and St Benet's in Netherton joined Christians from throughout the area in Good Friday morning Walk of Witness.
The ecumenical event was one of many organised throughout the Archdiocese to bear withness to the most solemn day in the Christian calendar.
The Walks are a proud tradition for the people of Netherton having taken place every Good Friday for many years. They provide a fitting prelude to the more solemn Good Friday afternoon services which commemorate the Lord's passion and death.
Parish Priest of Our Lady of Walsingham, Father Anthony Eagleton, joined his parishioners in the spring sunshine, weather which is not always traditional for the event.
