The day will feature traditional sporting events which include the prestigious egg and spoon race, the challenging wellie wanging and the ultimate 100 metre sprint. If that doesn’t take your fancy you will have a chance to battle it out with your friends over a Gladiator Duel, if you have a need for speed get belted up for the bungee run, and it’s man versus cattle when we test out how long you can hang on for dear life with our very own mechanical rodeo bull. As well as all that there will be the traditional stalls and games that will be fun for all the family. Food and Drink will also be available.
The event is from 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm which will be followed by the monthly Youth Alive, which is a Mass for the young people in and around the archdiocese starting at 6:30 pm and is also the Lourdes Departure Mass for all the young pilgrims travelling to Lourdes on 20 July.
After Youth Alive, there will be the usual Social time during which we hope the rides will still be available for use. The European Championship Final will also be shown on the Big Screen in the house, so football fans will not miss the Big Game. Entrance is free for a great day.
Bring along your family and your mates and see how long you can ride the Rodeo Bull? Or see who will win in the Bungee Run? Or see if you can win a prize at one of the games in the Parish Hall or beat your mates in the egg and spoon? Or simply relax in the garden with a Burger and Coke.
