The Most Inspirational Secondary School was a competitive category with four worthy schools shortlisted. The winner was Notre Dame Catholic College, Liverpool. With nearly 83% of students saying they feel cared for, alongside its impressive new building with the latest technology and facilities, it is wonderful evidence of a truly inspirational school.
Frances Harrison, head teacher of Notre Dame Catholic College said, ‘We are delighted to have not only been shortlisted but to win the award of Inspirational Secondary school. As a school we spend so much of our time and energies focusing upon raising the aspirations and hopes of our young people to ensure that they are not disadvantaged in life and that, regardless of their backgrounds, they are well prepared for happy and successful lives and the challenges they may face. This is a very welcome 'pat on the back' from a distinguished panel of judges against some very strong competition from other outstanding schools and one which we, the staff, governors, parents and students are very proud of.’
