Baking for Nugent Care at the candlestick makers

Staff at local church furnishing company Hayes & Finch are always ready to help a good cause – and sales administrator Ann Gibson is proof of this as she puts her baking skills to good use.

Ann is making cakes that will be bought and enjoyed by the 70 staff at the company in order to raise funds to acquire Easter eggs for Nugent Care projects involving underprivileged children.

Ann plans to bake and sell enough cakes to be able to purchase 50 Easter eggs that will then be donated to Nugent Care for distribution before Easter Sunday.

Ann has worked at Hayes and Finch for over 25 years and is well known for serving calling customers with tea and homemade cakes while they browse the showroom and make their selections.

Nugent Care fundraiser Michele Duckworth says: 'Hayes & Finch staff are a great support to our fundraising efforts and a lot of underprivileged children will benefit from receiving an Easter egg as a result of the staff supporting Ann's efforts.'

Anyone can donate an Easter egg, dropping it off at the Hayes & Finch showroom on Hanson Road in Aintree (Liverpool L9 7BP) on weekdays between 9am and 5pm. The eggs will be passed on to Nugent Care along with those supplied by Hayes & Finch.
