Archdiocesan Safeguarding Coordinator

Following the pending retirement of the current post-holder, we are recruiting to the Safeguarding Coordinator post which will report into the Safeguarding Advisor. As a genuine ‘people person’, you will provide leadership and direction for the Archdiocesan Safeguarding team.
You must hold a relevant professional qualification at degree level or equivalent related to social care/child protection/safeguarding (inc: social work, Health, Probation, Police) and ideally hold a relevant management qualification (at or above a level 4 equivalent) or have a willingness to pursue.
You must have 5 years or more professional experience (post qualification) in the area of Safeguarding and ideally have knowledge and/or experience of Catholic culture and ethos as well as knowledge of Liverpool Archdiocese and relevant church initiatives in safeguarding.
You will have gravitas, with an ability to support, challenge and advise senior leadership demonstrating intelligent strategic thought and emotional intelligence at all times.
This role will be based on a 37-hour week with a degree of flexibility required to cover some occasional evening and weekend work. It is essential that the successful candidate holds a valid UK driving License and has access to a car.
We offer a salary of £35,228- £42,805 per annum with competitive employee benefits and Terms &Conditions.
