Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Training
Child Sexual Exploitation can happen to anyone’s child. Despite media reports of some high-profile cases, it is often not recognised and not reported. Halton Safeguarding Children Board supports a Pan-Cheshire approach to tackling Child Sexual Exploitation. It is therefore important that agencies have an understanding of what signs to look out for; know their own responsibilities in relation to CSE; understand the work of the Police and Catch 22 in responding to CSE; and for practitioners to be able to complete a CSE Screening Tool and an Information Form if they have safeguarding concerns for a child.
The course will also highlight learning from a recent Practice Learning Review undertaken in Halton.
