The parish of Our Lady of Compassion, Formby has been celebrating the creativity and faith of its young people through a special art project for the forthcoming 2026 parish calendar.

Children and young people from the parish were invited to submit a photograph or picture either showing what God’s love means to them or inspired by their favourite Bible story or hymn. The images will feature in the new parish calendar, which will be available from late November to coincide with the parish’s Christmas fayre.

All the artwork will also be displayed in church, along with a compilation video on the parish’s YouTube channel that brings the children’s contributions together for everyone to enjoy.

The initiative has encouraged children to express their faith in personal and imaginative ways.
