An opportunity is available for an experienced maintenance worker to assist with the day-to-day maintenance, repairs and general upkeep of the interior and exterior of St Mary’s parish. This will include maintenance of the surrounding grounds and oversight of the outsourced gardening and landscaping service for the parish grounds.
This is a permanent post, working part-time, 25 hours flexibly across the week. There may be occasions when you may find yourself working alone in the Parish grounds.
Candidates must have empathy with the ethos and mission of the Roman Catholic Church and a commitment to the work undertaken by all at St Mary’s Parish.
Applicants must have; experience of working in a similar role or trade background, excellent verbal and written skills, experience of managing and implementing maintenance programmes, the ability to identify problems and correct defects. Experience of working with buildings and gardens which are places of worship, or listed buildings would be advantageous.

Under the direction of the Head of Finance, the post holder will deliver a high quality, modern clerical and administrative support across all sections of the Finance Department, and support the officers of the APCMC and Property/Surveying teams.
The successful post holder will be responsible for managing incoming email, post, telephone calls and enquiries; providing flexible administrative support across departments; undertaking general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and archiving; and devising, implementing and maintaining modern office administration systems.
To thrive in this role, you should have strong interpersonal skills to be able to work collaboratively with people at all levels, excellent time management skills with the ability to organise and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines, and experience of working in a busy office environment, dealing with a broad range of administrative procedures.
