Hundreds visited Parbold’s Our Lady & All Saints for a Carlo Acutis Eucharistic miracles exhibition.

Hundreds of visitors travelled to Our Lady & All Saints Church, Parbold, for a special exhibition on Eucharistic miracles inspired by the life of Carlo Acutis.
The idea for the exhibition came after a group of parishioners visited a similar display at St Stephen’s Church last September, shortly after Saint Carlo Acutis was canonised. Inspired by what they saw, they hoped to bring the exhibition closer to home so more people could encounter the stories of Eucharistic miracles documented by the young saint.
The exhibition was held in Our Lady and All Saints Primary School, while a relic of Saint Carlo Acutis was displayed in the church where visitors were able to spend time in prayer and venerate the relic after Mass.
Over the nine-day event, around 700 people visited the exhibition and church. Many came from across the West Lancashire Deanery and the archdiocese, while others travelled from further afield, including the dioceses of Salford, Lancaster, Shrewsbury and Wrexham.
The event was made possible through the support of the wider parish community. The local primary school provided the venue, St Bede’s Catholic High School loaned the display boards, and more than 70 parishioners volunteered their time to steward the exhibition, assist visitors, and help with the practical arrangements.
Parish priest Father O’Shea described the week as “a time of grace for the parish,” saying: “Hundreds of people have come, from far and wide, to see our exhibition about Eucharistic Miracles and to be blessed with the relic of Saint Carlo Acutis… About 70 parishioners gave their time… a wonderful testimony to their generosity and to the vibrancy of the parish.”
The exhibition concluded with a Holy Hour in the church, with organisers hopeful that the event will continue to deepen devotion to the Eucharist and inspire many through the example of Saint Carlo Acutis.
