This year, we are celebrating 100 years since the first Liverpool to Lourdes pilgrimage.
Ever since, there has been a pilgrimage that has visited Lourdes every year. The only exceptions have been for the Second World War and the Covid-19 pandemic.
This time, we are looking at the 1990s. This was a decade of political switch, Tony Blair was appointed Prime Minister - the first Labour Prime Minister since James Callaghan 19 years previously. The Good Friday Agreement also brought to an end of 30 years worth of conflict in Northern Ireland, the Soviet Union was broken up and the EU was formed.
The video game market also took on another dimension, with releases like the Playstation and Nintendo 64. Friends also hit screens for the first time.
You can read more about the 2023 pilgrimage here.
In the mean time, you can see our video of the best bits from the 1990s below.
