The Sisters of Our Lady of the Cenacle have released the following statement regarding the future of the community in Wavertree:

"After 117 years of presence and service in Liverpool, the Sisters of the Cenacle regret we are no longer able to continue the community in Wavertree. Declining numbers of Sisters mean that the present house is now too large for our needs.

"The house will close at the end of October 2025 and all ministries will come to an end, including the prayer enrolment.

"The congregation will continue to pray for all those who have been enrolled in our prayer enrolment ministry and been supportive in so many ways.

"The Sisters remain committed to supporting others through their prayers and presence in Liverpool. Thank you for your generous and faithful support and prayers over the years."

We thank them for their dedicated service over the years.
