Safeguarding Training

The safeguarding team provides specific in-person training for volunteers who hold roles requiring a DBS check, such as Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers/Master of Ceremonies, Children’s Liturgy catechists, Sacramental catechists and parish visitors.

The team also provides general safeguarding awareness sessions for all volunteers in the parish to ensure we are embedding safeguarding for all volunteers not just those holding a role that requires a DBS check.

DBS - new process training sessions

The DBS process for electronic applications has recently changed, the Safeguarding Section is hosting New Process Training Sessions on the following dates these sessions are open to all Parish Priests, Deacons, Safeguarding Representatives and Identity Verifiers in your parish.
