Formation webinars

Jointly hosted by the Archdiocese of Liverpool and Dioceses of Hexham and Newcastle, and Northampton.

The following webinars have been designed to help us grow together as a synodal Church. Whether you’ve been guiding a pastoral council for years or are just beginning to explore the idea, these sessions will offer practical insights, helpful tools, and real-life resources.

Family of parishes prayer

Three personed God,
You show us what it means
to be a true family centred, acting and growing in love.We know our human families
to be places of deep love, healing, and wholeness
at their best,
But also places of hurt, division, abandonment at worst. As we explore this vision
of families of parishes,
May you who created us,
create in us new vision, new hope, new intent, and new purpose and discovery.
May you who came among us, bringing healing, enduring suffering and death,
and rising from the dead to summon us to new life,
Walk with us on this next stage of our synod pilgrimage,
our guide, our example, our saving grace.
May you, Spirit of God, Spirit of wisdom,
speak to us though each other,
as we discern which way to go.
Be our accompanier on the road.
And as new families grow and become,
heal any tensions,
give us patience in accepting the challenges
of family life throughout our archdiocese, and the courage to accept challenge and change. We ask this in the name of the Holy Family,
Mary to nurture, Joseph to protect,
and you, three in one, to unite us all.
Amen.
