National Marriage Week is an opportunity to recognise the gift of marriage and the
important role it plays in family life and in the wider community. As part of the week,
the Archdiocese of Liverpool hosts the Mass of Marriage and Family Life, inviting
couples to give thanks for their vocation, renew their commitment to one another,
and pray for the strengthening of family relationships.
Archbishop John Sherrington will celebrate the Mass of Marriage and Family Life at the Metropolitan Cathedral on Sunday 8 February 2026 at 11.00 am. The celebration will include the renewal of marriage vows and a blessing for couples who are marking significant wedding anniversaries.
