The Archdiocese of Liverpool offers marriage preparation courses for couples planning to marry in the Catholic Church.
Each course includes four evening sessions led by trained lay facilitators.
The sessions provide time for couples to reflect on their relationship, develop communication skills, and explore the meaning of love within the context of Catholic faith.
Topics covered during the course include communication skills, conflict management, forgiveness and reconciliation, parenthood, sexuality, and the sacrament of marriage, along with much more, designed to support couples as they prepare for lifelong commitment.

Dates: Mondays – 29 September, 6 October, 13 October, 20 October
Time: 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Engaged encounter
The Engaged Encounter marriage preparation courses follow the “Guidelines for the Preparation of Couples for Marriage” as set down by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England & Wales.The courses are held over a weekend or over a series of online sessions. Couples receive a certificate of attendance which is normally required by the priest who is officiating at their wedding.
